I Yahn I Sound System is a one-of-a-kind, mobile dub experience rooted in Rastafari culture and built for the streets. Designed and constructed by Derek “Ras Jah D” Myers, this custom solar-powered sound system lives on a refurbished Surrey four-person pedal bicycle—turning heads and shaking pavement as it rolls through Philadelphia.

Blending sustainability with sound system tradition, I Yahn I delivers high-fidelity audio with deep, earth-shaking bass, powered entirely by the sun. The setup features a UK dub-style DJ rig with a custom reggae preamp, built for live manipulation—echo, reverb, and analog warmth shaping each session into a fully immersive sonic journey.

Speaker construction was developed in collaboration with Leon “Sir Phil Pots” of House of Roots, bringing authentic sound system craftsmanship to the build. The result is a powerful yet portable rig that carries the spirit of classic Jamaican and UK dub culture into a modern, mobile format.

Known for its roaming performances across Philadelphia, I Yahn I Sound System brings roots and culture dub directly to the people—featuring guest Jamaican MCs, singers, and DJs chanting live over heavyweight riddims.
